MASAKA

Masaka town is in central region of Uganda, west of Lake Victoria; the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the whole world. Masaka is approximately 140km to the southwest of Kampala on the highway to Mbarara and close to the main landmark of the Equator line in Uganda where several travelers make stops on their way to different destinations.  Most of the residents of Masaka are farmers that engage in different activities like crop cultivation, meat and fish processing, and animal husbandry among others. Masaka is approximately 140km to the southwest of Kampala which is about 2 hours drive.
