Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest
Early morning after breakfast, travel to kibale forest national park. You will move through the Uganda’ country side, pass through agricultural estates, down to kyenjonjo in the foothills of mountains of the moon “Rwonzori Mountains” through the big tee estates, have lunch in fort portal town, the famous, town where whinstone Churchill stood and realized that Uganda is really the pearl of Africa. Enter the park in the evening, stay at chimp nest, kibale forest camp, primate lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
Early morning after game drive, we start our day with chimpanzee tracking within the park. We shall drive to the park headquarters for registrations and briefing about the park and chimpanzee etiquettes. After we start our guided tracking in the forest. The trails are fairly maintained and you will get a chance to view the chimpanzee well as you expect. This will take us 3 to 4 hours, take photeos, capture videos. After come back for lunch. After lunch, have an evening nature walk to Bigodi wetland. This is a well maintained and conserved wetland that hobors arounds 13 species of primates. The area/swamp is a haven for bird species and is the specific areas for birders. Comeback for dinner and over night at the same lodge.
Day 3: Departure
After a hearty breakfast, check out of lodge and prepare for transfer back to Kampala city/ airport ending the Kibale chimpanzee safari.
