Tour Description

Situated in the western region boardering Kigezi game reserve, Kyambura reserve , Kibale national and Virunga park is Queen Elizabeth park, arguably Uganda’s most visited national park home to an astonishing 95 mammal species and up to 350 bird species plus up to 72 huge explosion crater basins not to mention the Katwe salt mines and adjacent Maramagambo forest which is home to several primate species. A safari in Queen Elizabeth park includes a game drive plus boat cruise along the infamous Kazinga channel plus nature walks or community visits. Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Our tour guide will pick you up from the airport or hotel and drive you to Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda's second largest wildlife reserve and arguably the most popular park in East Africa. Enjoy beautiful views of the country side on the Masaka & Mbarara-Kasese road. En-route stop over in Fort Portal for lunch and relaxation. Proceed to the park arriving in the evening just in time for dinner, Over night stay at the safari lodge/ camp.


Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

After an early morning breakfast, our tour guide will take you out for an adventure game drive in the Kasenyi plains, one of the best spots for game viewing in Queen Elizabeth. Expect to encounter a variety of wild animals and birds including baboons, monkeys, huge herds of Elephants, Cape Bufaloes, warthogs, waterbuck, hippos, lions not to mention various Antelope species plus a wide range of a bird species. After a breakfast in the jungle, proceed to Ishasha sector; the home of the tree climbing lions and if lucky you might find a whole pack resting in the fig trees. Return to the safari lodge/ camp for lunch before heading back in the plains and this time straight to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. this small channel has the largest population of hippos in Uganda as well as Nile crocodiles plus birds as well you get chance to see animals you might have missed out on during the game drives. Circle around and return to shore where the guide will pick you up and drive you back to the lodge/ camp ending the day.


Day 3: Departure

After having breakfast and packing, check out of the lodge and prepare for journey back to Kampala city ending the Queen Elizabeth safari.
