Day 1: Arrival & Pick Up
You will be picked up from the airport by our guide and transfered to your hotel/ guest house in Kampala or Entebbe town.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale forest park
Our guide will pick you up at the hotel as early as 6am and drive you to Kibale forest, home to the largest population of chimpanzees in Uganda with up 1450 chimps recorded out of the 4900 in Uganda. Road trip lasts about 6 hours meaning you will arrive at the park by 2pm just in time for lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali Lodge/ Primate cottages/ chimpanzee guest house.
Day 3: Chimpanzee TRacking & Transfer to QEnp
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transfered to Kanyanchu for a guided primate walk through Kibale forest. The primate walk not only offer you an opportunity to encounter the chimpanzees but also other primates like the Black & white colobus monkey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey, baboons, L'hoest monkeys among other to add to the various bird na plant species that call the forest home. Transfer back to lodge/ camp , have lunch and check out in preparation for the transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge/ camp.
Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transfered to the Kasenyi plains for a guided game drive. expect to encounter a variety of wild animals and bird species as you tranverse the beautiful landscapes of Queen Elizabeth national park. Transfer back to lodge/ camp for lunch and nap. In the afternoon , you will go a boat cruise on Kazinga channel, a popular water channel connecting Lake George to Edward home to thousands of hippos among other park animals that frequent the banks to enjoy the sun or drink water. Transfer back to lodge for dinner and ovenight stay.
Day 5: Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi park
After an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge/ camp and prepare for transfer to Bwindi forest passing via the Ishasha region where you will get chance to see the infamous tree climbing lions. Tek a few picture and proceed to Bwindi arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla resort/ Nkuringo gorilla camp/ Buhoma community bands
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Begins
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and prepare for transfer to park ranger quarters for briefing about the do's and dont's of a gorilla safari in Uganda. Tracking the mountain gorillas in Bwindi forest may last up to 5 hours depending on the current location of the apes at that specific time. You will be given an hour in their midst to take pictures as you observe them feed and interact. Trek to extraction point where our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the lodge. You will receiver an gorilla certificate in the evening as an award for the accomplishemnet of tracking experience.
Day 7: Departure
After you have had your breakfast and packed your lunch, prepare for transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe airport ending your week Uganda safari adventure.
