Dos

- Wear long sleeved tops/shirts and long trousers to protect yourself from pricking thickets as you traverse through the forest.
- Put on shoes that suitable for hiking steep muddy slopes. You should also wear socks and tuck your trousers in the socks to protect yourself from insects.
- Make sure you carry enough driving water for the hike.
- Carry your binoculars to be able to spot the chimps from a distance.
- Have a guide with you because he is the only one who get you access into the forest.
- Keep a distance of about 8m away from the chimps to avoid spreading human illnesses to the chimps since they are easily communicable to them.
Don’ts
- Don’t go chimp trekking when you have flu or diarrhea as you will pass on your diseases to the primates.
- Avoid eating food near the chimpanzees.
- Refrain from flash photography as it is prohibited.
