A gorilla safari in Uganda, Rwanda & Congo is one of the best wildlife trips in the world and that’s Bwindi forest and Virunga ranges are some of the most visited tourist destination on the African continent. The mountain gorillas are listed among the most endangered species with only about 880 left shared among four national parks namely Bwindi, Mgahinga, Volcanoes and Virunga parks  and over hlf the population is in Bwindi Impenatrable forest, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most ancient rain forests.

Each company website has a unique look , packages and discount offers so you have to go through various website before making a final decision on who to book with.
Inquire- After you have determined which company you want to use, take the next step and contact them. This can be done through a short form where you fill in all your details,sending an email directly to the address or calling directly using the company mobile and telephone numbers. You can as well get in touch with the reservations through other platforms like Facebook and Google + . The reservations team will respond with crafted itinerary for you showing the day to day activities plus all the included and excluded costs.
Book safari- If you like what you see and really feel that you handle the costs , then proceed to the next step of confirming the reservation. To do gorilla trekking ,  one must have a valid gorilla permit indicating the region where you will be tracking plus your name of course. The reservations team will request a deposit to go and purchase your permits as early as possible to avoid missing out.
Book your flight- Once you have confirmed the dates you will be traveling , you can now visit an airline agency to purchase your ticket to Uganda, Rwanda or Congo.
Pack the right gear – Gorilla trekking is no casual activity and so requires the right gear if you want to enjoy a successful trip. From the clothes all the way down to you shoes, you need to be conscious of what you are packing. Pack some long sleeved shirts and trousers to help you pass through the forests unharmed by vegetation like sting nettles, also come with heavy coat and rain jacket as it occasionally rains in these parks. Dont forget to carry your hiking boots and  functioning camera with back-up batteries if you dont want to miss out on this 1 hour encounter.
Get fit – So you have finished booking and packing , there’s now one more thing left to do and that is to get your body ready for the journey. A gorilla trek can last up to 6 hours depending on the location of the apes plus you will be climbing up and down muddy and slippery so requires some level of fitness. Do some early morning jogging or hit the gym and do some other physical exercises to keep in shape and be ready for the forest walk.
