Tour Itinerary For Queen Elizabeth Park Safari

At least over 95 mammal species like large schools of hippos, beautiful Uganda kobs, elephants and over 600 types of birds exist in Queen Elizabeth national park located in the western region of Uganda in the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rukungiri and Rubirizi. It stretches 400 kilometers (250 mi) by road. The size of the park is 1,978km per square.
It is one of Uganda’s oldest and most visited parks officially created in 1952 together with Murchison Falls National Park. It was first called Kazinga National Park and two years later renamed to commemorate the visit by Queen Elizabeth ll.
This is where Maramagambo forest is found neighboring game reserves like Kigezi, Kyambura Game Reserves and the Kibale National Park in Uganda. From the Democratic Republic of Congo the Virunga National Park neighbors the park as well.

DAY 1
KAMPALA-QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Have your early morning breakfast and one of our own driver guides will pick you up from your hotel or place of stay by 7:00am to embark on your memorable and long awaited trip Southwest wards with your first stopover at the Equator in Masaka for some photographs and stop in Mbarara at Agip hotel for your lunch.
Igongo cultural center is a place you wouldn’t want to miss out for you to have a bit of knowledge about the Ankole culture before you are driven through the beautiful tea plantations, rift valleys, the attractive evergreen vegetation and grasslands with the long horned-Ankole cattle being grazed in them. Enter the park and have an evening game drive looking out for the wildest attractions and you will be driven to your place of residence for diner and overnight.

DAY 2
SAFARI IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Start a new day with an early breakfast and the driver guide plus the game ranger will pick you up for your second day safari in the park. The previous day’s experience will still be sparkling in your head. You will drive through the Kasenyi trail to spot elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, buffaloes and waterbucks not leaving out the birds. You return to your lodges and have lunch and relax a bit.
After lunch you get out for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel for 2 hours as you spot the elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, warthogs and the kobs. The birds cannot go unseen especially the bee-eaters and the black bishops then you are returned to the lodge for you to relax, dine and overnight.

DAY 3
RETURN TO KAMPALA
After you have had a splendidly delicious breakfast, you go for a primate walk at Kyambura gorge. Chimpanzees can be tracked here from 8am-12pm then go for lunch at the Kingfisher lodge prior to starting your journey back to Kampala after a memorable experience in one of Uganda’s touristic treasures with your arrival late in the evening.
