Transfer to Akagera National Park
After an early morning breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the park. Road trip lasts about 2 and half hours from Kigali city. Arrive at the park by noon and head straight to the game tracks for a 2 hours game drive where you will get chance to spot a variety of mammals and birds including Elephants, impala, Rona antelopes, waterbucks, buffaloes, Bushels zebras, giraffes, elands among others. After the game drive, you will be driven to your hotel/ lodge, check in, have lunch and relax as you wait for the boat ride on Lake Ihema. in the afternoon you will board a boat and explore the lake where you will spot a variety of aquatic animals and birds including hippos, crocodiles plus a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Game Drive and Departure
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, head out to the Akagera plains for another game drive but this time you will track game in the northern sector of the park that overlooks Tanzania. Enjoy up to 4 hours taking pictures and enjoy the spectacular landscapes. You will be transferred back to the lodge for lunch and then check out and prepare for your journey back to Kigali ending the wildlife safari.
