- Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Depending on your time of arrival, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the south western part of the country via the Equator in Mpigi, a place of wonder. Have a cup of coffee, take a photo or perform the ‘swirling water experiment’ leaving you with equatorial memories. Continue deep in the countryside through the cattle corridor, see the amazing long horned cattle of Ankole. Proceed to scenic and amazing rolling hills of Kigezi; ‘Switzerland of Africa’. Reach at the hotel in time for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
Briefing at the park headquarters after breakfast at the hotel. All about important information about Mountain Gorilla trekking is disseminated here. Proceed to the impenetrable forest in search of Gorilla families in their natural habitat. This amazing experience will make you relate with the Gorilla families. while tracking, you will meet other animals like the duikers, primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys and many others. Also, expect to see birds of various species.
Return to the lodge for to relax, dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Have breakfast at the hotel, as you prepare to return to Kampala. You may opt to explore more scenic tourist attractions like museums and the Eclipse viewing point at Igongo cultural centre in Mbarara.
